How companies are using ChatGPT to help them make sense of their own data.

Like most companies, we have a lot of data held in our various outlook folders and in public folders on our server. This is all in the cloud, secure and private.

Is this data valuable? The simple answer is yes, from the perspective of helping us run our business, ensuring we are compliant with our regulators, etc…The next obvious question is, can we get actionable insights from it? The simple answer here is, no.

This is where ChatGPT comes in. The chatbot can interact in conversational dialogue form and provide responses that can appear surprisingly human. It can answer questions about your customer data.

Your website

Most company's websites have 10,000s of words of high quality and relevant content on their particular business. When prospects or customers come to your websites, they are invariably looking for answers to questions.

Why not have a ChatGPT-powered bot that only gives answers based on the content on your website? Assuming the information on your website is accurate and up to date, it can be incredibly helpful. Rather than having to work their way through a long landing page or blog, you can simply ask questions and get the right answers.

Microsoft 365 Copilot

This groundbreaking tool, powered by OpenAI's GPT-4, leverages Microsoft Graph to transform user text input into content across popular Microsoft 365 apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. While there have been concerns about potential issues like hallucinations and biases, experts are confident that Copilot will revolutionize the way Microsoft users work and collaborate. Microsoft is integrating Copilot directly into Windows 11, allowing easy access through the taskbar.

Outlook's Copilot feature is designed to draft emails that are tailor-made for each user. It can create emails with different lengths and tones based on the input provided. By extracting relevant information from other emails, Copilot ensures that each message is comprehensive and accurate. Moreover, it can summarize email threads by highlighting the perspectives of individuals involved and identifying unanswered questions.

ChatGPT for your own data

Create your own ChatGPT-style chatbot with tools like CustomGPT. Utilize your own data to receive real-time answers. Whether you're a small business aiming to boost customer engagement and streamline operations, or a researcher in need of data-driven insights, CustomGPT is the perfect solution for you. You can upload PDF and Word documents that are specific to your business and enable your staff or customers to ask questions and get answers using the power of ChatGPT.

These are just 3 uses that I am aware of at the moment, I am sure there are many more coming online over the next few weeks and months.
