Meet the team

Tara Whelan

Assistant Manager

Tara Whelan is a graduate of Cork Institute of Technology holding an Honours Bachelor degree in Business Studies. She joined the Nathan Trust team in the Cork office as a Trainee Accountant in 2018. Tara has an abundance of experience in payroll, VAT and accounts preparation. She enjoys the collaborative, flexible and positive work environment at Nathan Trust.

Collins Olanrewaju

Trainee Accountant

Collins Olanrewaju is a graduate of Atlantic Technological University and holds a bachelor's degree in Finance and Economics. He worked within the banking industry before joining the accounting team at Nathan Trust. Collins is looking to progress his accounting career as he studies towards the professional accountancy exams with the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants. Outside of work, Collins enjoys playing football and outdoor activities and enjoying a balanced social life.

Philip Nathan

Head of Sales & Client Services

Philip is responsible for our sales, marketing and client services department. This includes onboarding of new customers and helping ensure they have a great experience building their business in Ireland. Philip keeps busy helping out with a Rugby club, Sailing club, community group, cycling, running, yoga-ing, cooking and generally dodging all other domestic chores.

Jordan O Neill

Chief Operating Officer

Jordan joined Nathan Trust in 2023 as Chief Operating Officer. He was previously head of Operations and Treasury at Aspect Capital, a leading quantitative investment manager, based in London. Prior to this, he held senior positions at Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan. He holds a BSc in Business Information Systems from University College Cork and an MBS in Business Administration from the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business, University College Dublin. He is a father of 3 and enjoys cycling, running and golf in his spare time.

Biswajeet Choudhury

Sales and Marketing

Biswajeet is a Marketing Consultant at Nathan Trust, where he executes our company's global inbound strategy to drive awareness and growth for the company's inbound marketing and sales services. Biswajeet holds a Masters in Management and Marketing from University College Cork and a Bachelors in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. He brings in multi-industry experience having worked in technology and business sectors over the last 8 years. He works tirelessly to help Nathan Trust scale, grow and succeed in achieving its sales and marketing targets. Outside of work, Biswajeet likes to spend quality time in the gym as well as watching football at home. He loves travelling, sports and is a big-time foodie!

Emma McCarthy

Trainee Accountant

Emma McCarthy is a graduate of Munster Technological University and holds a bachelor’s degree in business studies. She worked within the insurance industry before joining the team at Nathan Trust. Outside of work, Emma immensely enjoys exercising, whether that be doing home workouts, a workout with friends or walking her dogs. While she enjoys socialising, Emma is also an avid reader and is striving to read a book a month this year.

Nell Burke

Trainee Company Secretary

Nell is a graduate of the National University of Ireland Galway, holding an Honours Bachelor degree in Civil Law and an Honours Masters degree in International and Comparative Business Law. Nell joined the Nathan Trust team in 2021 as a Trainee Company Secretary. Nell is looking forward to commencing further studies in Corporate Governance and gaining valuable industry experience. In her spare time, Nell enjoys travelling, walking her dog, and reading.

Luke Power

Trainee Accountant

Luke Power is a graduate of UCC holding an honours bachelor’s degree in accounting. Luke joined the Nathan Trust team as a trainee accountant in 2020 and is in the process of becoming a chartered accountant with ACA. Outside of work, Luke is into fitness and is an avid fan of soccer, combat sports and movies.

Andrew Watson

Financial Controller

Andrew is a qualified Chartered Accountant and an Economics graduate from the University of Bath. Having started his career in Audit, Andrew has extensive experience as a Financial Controller with Accountancy Practices in both Ireland and the UK.

Lauren Bashir

Trainee Company Secretary

Lauren is a graduate of the National University of Ireland Galway, holding an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Arts (International) (BA) and an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB). Lauren joined the Nathan Trust team in 2024 as a Trainee Company Secretary. Lauren is looking forward to commencing further studies in Corporate Governance and gaining valuable industry experience. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys sewing, good food and spending quality time with friends and family.

Jessica Corcoran

Trainee Company Secretary

Jessica Corcoran is a graduate of Atlantic Technology University and holds a bachelor's Degree in Law with Criminal Justice. During the course of her studies, she realised an affinity with Company Law and Compliance which led her to joining the Corporate Governance and Compliance team in Nathan Trust as a trainee Company Secretary. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, music and playing different instruments. She also enjoys socialising and meeting up with friends.

Christine Sutton

HR Consultant

Christine (she/her) is an expert people professional with a wealth of experience across multiple sectors. She holds a BSc Hons in Applied Psychology, a Masters in Organisational Psychology is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, and is currently undertaking a Professional Doctorate in Organisational Psychology at Birkbeck, University of London. She spent several years in the financial services sector in Ireland supporting senior leadership across several jurisdictions working on local and global initiatives. Christine works with clients across the UK, Ireland, and Isle of Man and has built up a strong consultancy business working with organisations to champion a people-first agenda. Christine is accredited in several psychometric tools for use in personal, team and leadership coaching and development as well as recruitment and selection processes.

Niamh Smith

Accountant

Niamh Smith is a graduate in Accounting from the University College Cork. She is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland. Niamh has worked in both Practice and the Financial Services Industry and has a broad range of experience in many different aspects of finance in Ireland. Outside of work, Niamh is a busy mother of three and loves escaping to the tennis court as often as she can manage.

Laura Meade

Senior Company Secretary

Laura is a qualified company secretary and is registered with The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland. She is a graduate of University College Cork and holds a degree in Commerce International with Irish. Laura also holds a post-graduate degree in Management and Corporate Governance from Ulster University. Laura has vast experience in company incorporation and annual compliance. Laura is an avid reader and dog lover!

David Bruton

Head of Accounting & Tax

David Bruton is a graduate in Business from the Cork Institute of Technology. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Chartered Tax Advisor. David has more than 15 years of experience working in practice with SMEs, multinationals, and high net worth individuals. In addition to dealing with ongoing accounting and tax compliance for clients, David’s areas of expertise also include personal and corporate tax planning, VAT and the international aspects of the Irish tax system. David enjoys trying to take the mystery out of tax for clients. Outside of work, David’s interests include reading, weightlifting and rugby.

Clodagh Fitzgerald

Assistant Manager

Clodagh is a qualified accountant and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Clodagh provides a full package of accounting services to our clients. She enjoys interacting with each of her clients and understanding their business needs so she can provide the top quality service their business requires. Outside of work Clodagh enjoys travelling, sea swimming and running.

Mark Nathan

Managing Director

Mark Nathan qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2007 and is a graduate of both Dublin City University and University College Cork. Mark has worked in both Practice and Industry as an Accountant and has extensive knowledge of finance in Ireland. Apart from being a father of three, he is a keen fitness weekend warrior and can be seen cruising the roads on the bike in Lycra. He loves working with such a great team and the variety of the client base always gives us new exciting challenges.

Rory O'Connell

Marketing, Sales & Client Services

Rory is a graduate of History (Major) and Sociology from University College Cork. He also has a Masters in Multimedia Technologies (UCC), a Masters in Advertising from Technological University Dublin, and a Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering from City Colleges, Dublin. Rory has a diverse skill set with experience in marketing, sales, business setup, management, and client services. Rory enjoys listening to music, watching movies, walking his dog, reading, and hiking. He also enjoys kayaking and paddleboarding.
